After over a decade of coaching women, one thing has become clear: most training systems were not built considering female physiology. While women and men both benefit tremendously from lifting heavy, a one-size-fits-all approach is a disservice to female athletes. Differences in biological profiles—specifically a higher proportion of Type I (slow-twitch) muscle fibers, lower testosterone, and higher estrogen levels—mean that programming variables like volume, frequency, and recovery must be structured differently to maximize results. These unique factors require a targeted approach to training density and neurological focus to fully unlock your strength potential without leaving gains on the floor.
My work focuses on bridging that gap by creating programs that truly align with your physiology.
For female athletes, this means developing true strength and power in the specific movement patterns, energy systems, and muscle groups that your sport demands — targeting the areas your body needs to move efficiently, generate force, and function optimally, all honoring your physiology to maximize adaptation, performance, and longevity in your sport.
For many other women, the starting point is very different. Years of chronic under-eating, excessive cardio, and diet culture propaganda can leave the metabolism suppressed and strength underdeveloped. In these cases, the work begins with restoring proper nourishment, rebuilding metabolic health, and teaching women how to fuel, strengthen and move in ways that restore resilience and rebuild trust in their bodies.

Working with Michelle completely changed the way I understand nutrition and fueling my body for training. As a professional fighter preparing for a world championship fight, I thought I had my diet dialed in—but it turned out I was significantly under-eating for the amount of training I was doing.
